How long does the review of my documents take?
In general, this does not take longer than five working days. However, this does depend on the number of responses to a property. Once all documents have been reviewed, the real estate agent will inform you further. It may be that an additional document is required.
Is everything in order? Then congratulations are in place! You are the new resident of your future home. In that case, the real estate agent will contact you (often by phone).
How does the Rental File work?
After you have viewed a property, you will be invited to complete the Rental File on Wonen.nu. In this secure environment, protected with two‑factor authentication, you can upload the required documents in several steps. Think of a copy of your ID, a payslip, an employer’s statement, etc.
Once you have completed all the steps and uploaded the requested documents, click the ‘I’m ready’ button. The real estate agent will receive a notification immediately and will start reviewing your documents. This assessment is very important to us, because we want to be sure that we select the best possible tenant. But it is also in your own interest; a home (and the associated housing costs) must fit within your personal financial situation.
How does the Rent Calculator work?
For each property on Wonen.nu, you will find a link to our Rent Calculator. Here, you can quickly and easily calculate the rental amount you qualify for. With your permission, your details will then be sent to the letting agent. They will review whether your profile is eligible and will contact you afterwards.
If you are invited for a viewing and would like to rent the property, you will receive login details for the Rental File, where you can upload your documents.
